When should I book my riad?

We recommend booking your riad at least 2 to 3 months in advance, especially if traveling during high season (March-May and September-November). These periods combine ideal weather and high tourist traffic, which quickly limits availability of the best riads.

For holiday periods like New Year's, Easter, or school holidays, anticipate even more: 4 to 6 months in advance isn't too much. The most reputable and well-located riads often book out several months ahead during these popular periods.

In low season (June-August and December-February), you can afford more flexibility with bookings 3-4 weeks in advance. Summer is very hot (especially in Marrakech) and winter can be cool in the evening, but rates are more advantageous and you'll have better last-minute choices.

Booking in advance has several advantages: better selection of riads, sometimes better rates, and above all peace of mind knowing your accommodation is secured. Small riads (5-8 rooms) fill up particularly quickly.
