Are riads suitable for families?

Everything you need to know about traveling with children

Yes! Many riads in Morocco warmly welcome families with children. Contrary to popular belief, riads aren't reserved for couples seeking romance: they're an excellent option for families looking for an authentic experience in an intimate setting.

Most riads offer spacious family rooms accommodating up to 4-5 people, as well as extra beds or cribs upon request. Some establishments even offer adapted services like high chairs, children's breakfast menus, and sometimes babysitting service by reservation.

Important note: many riads have a central patio with a basin or small pool. While beautiful, these spaces require constant supervision of young children. Choose riads with secured pools or rooftop terraces if traveling with very young children.

To choose a family-friendly riad, check room configurations, presence of adapted equipment, and don't hesitate to contact the riad directly to discuss your specific needs. Owners are generally very accommodating and delighted to welcome families.
